Wedding Officiants Atlanta

The Reverend Thomas A. Johnson is the lead officiant for our wedding services.  Rev. Johnson was ordained to the ministry by First Baptist Church of Lawrenceville in 1978.  He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Columbia Theological Seminary.  Rev. Johnson has served as a Staff Chaplain for the Georgia Baptist Medical Center and a volunteer chaplain for the V. A. Medical Center in Atlanta.   He also was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force serving as Base Chaplain for Dobbins Air Force Base, Georgia.  Chaplain Johnson has performed  both military weddings and funerals in such diverse places as Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hawaii, and Andersonville National Cemetary.  He has spent the past several years serving as the Executive Director of the Gwinnett Christian Counseling Center.  Rev. Johnson has performed over 1,000 wedding ceremonies and was named by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as the "Marrying Minister of Metro Atlanta." He performs services regularly at such venues as Vecoma on the Yellow River in Snellville, The Gwinnett Historic Courthouse, Vines Botanical Gardens in Grayson,  the Braselton-Stover House, Makhal Manor in Roswell, Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta,  the Payne-Corley House, the Log Cabin Church in Vinnings, the Charming Chapel in Lilburn, the downtown gazebo in Woodstock, the Hamilton Mill Country Club, the Mansell House in Alpharetta, the Bona Allen Mansion in Buford, the Houston Mill House at Emory, the Taylor-Grady House in Athens, the Ritz-Carlton, Chateau Elan, the Atrium, Botanical Gardens of Athens, Callanwolde Fine Arts Center of Atlanta, the Carl House in Winder, the Gainesville Civic Center, the Fox Theatre, etc.
